Phill leads The Banks Group, Inc., in Vancouver, Canada. The Banks Group is a risk and organizational resilience based consulting company. Phill’s practice provides security program evaluation, threat, risk and vulnerability analysis and mitigation strategies, security engineering design and strategic security planning services throughout North America and elsewhere. He has in-depth experience in security performance measurement and maturity modeling for corporate security programs as well as mentoring senior management teams with respect to risk-intelligence led security programs.

Phill served in the RCMP specializing in security operations following which he led security practices for both KPMG (Toronto) and Deloitte & Touche (Chicago) prior to launching The Banks Group Inc. in 2003.

Julie Clegg
President
Toddington International

A former Detective with the West Yorkshire Police in the United Kingdom, Julie brings 10 years front-line policing experience to her position as President of Toddington International Inc.

With extensive experience in both undercover and intelligence-led policing and a strong background in technology, Julie is responsible for the provision of proactive and reactive operational support to a number of sections within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as well as other federal government regulatory agencies and is the recipient of an RCMP commendation for her work in covert operations.

Julie regularly lectures on Internet investigative matters to law enforcement, regulatory, military and government agencies as well as members of the Fortune 500.

Geoff Frisby, CPP, PCI
LCR Consulting Ltd.

Geoff retired from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in 2001 after 27 years service which included Uniform (General Duties), Drug Enforcement and Witness Protection. After his retirement, Geoff coordinated the New Identities for Victims of Abuse (NIVA) program for Children Services of the Alberta Government. The mandate of the NIVA program was to assist those who were in life threatening domestic abuse situations.

Starting in 2003, Geoff began operating a Security Consulting and Training firm, LCR Consulting Ltd. Geoff has extensive experience in risk/threat assessment and management. He has instructed on security management and investigative topics at the University of Alberta, Faculty of Extension as well as MacEwan University.

Geoff also provides training and consulting in incident reporting/case management and CCTV/Access control software products to clients throughout North America.

In addition to this, Geoff also provides assessments and training in conflict management and violent behaviour assessment.

Tim McCreight, CISSP, CPP, CISA

Tim McCreight is the Chief Information Security Officer for the Government of Alberta.  He was appointed to the position in June, 2009.  Tim has almost thirty years experience in physical security, information technology and IT security.  He's held senior security positions in three of Canada's telecommunication companies and has developed security programs for both physical and IT realms.
 
Tim has attained his Certified Information Systems Security Professional designation from ISC2.  He's also achieved his Certified Protection Professional designation from ASIS and his Certified Information Systems Auditor standing from ISACA.  He's written for Security Management magazine, taught security management courses at the U of A and presented at security conferences across North America.

Senior Constable Shafik Punja BSc, A+, CISSP, Network+
Calgary Police Service

Senior Constable Shafik Punja has been a member of the Calgary Police Service for over 15 years.  Since 2003 he has worked in the Technological Crimes Unit, and has conducted forensic examinations on a wide variety of digital data storage devices. 
 
In 2005, Shafik began researching and developing analytical techniques for mobile devices and smart phone platforms.  Shafik has been qualified in the Canadian legal system as an expert in the area of digital forensics, numerous times.
 
Shafik was also a guest instructor who assisted in teaching the Cell Phone Seizure and Analysis Workshop (CSAW) for the Technological Crimes Learning Institute (TCLI) at the Canadian Police College, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in 2008 and 2009.

Shafik is the Senior Technical Officer of a private incorporated company, QuByte Logic Ltd. This company offers services in forensic software validation testing, research and development of digital forensic analytical software, and digital forensics training.

Jillian Vincent, B.Sc. LLB
Portfolio Officer, PIPA with OIPC

Jillian Vincent is a Portfolio Officer with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commission of Alberta. She works primarily under the Personal Information Protection Act, investigating complaints and assisting organizations with compliance.  Jillian holds degrees in both molecular genetics and law and is a member of the Alberta bar. Prior to joining the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner she spent several years in private practice at a large national law firm advising clients on privacy, employment and technology issues.
