General Information

What are the official dates of the Security Canada East event?
Tuesday April 21 and Wednesday April 22, 2009.

Where is Security Canada East taking place?
Security Canada East is being held at:

When does the tradeshow officially open?
The exhibit hall officially opens to attendees at 10:00 am on Wednesday April 22, 2009.

Who should attend Security Canada East?
As this is a trade only show anyone involved in any aspect of the security industry is welcome to attend Security Canada East.

Where can I get a copy of the entire program?
Exhibitors will all be receiving an Exhibitor Kit approximately 2 months prior to the show, which will include a full program of this event.
Attendees will be receiving an Attendee Information Package upon arrival to Security Canada East.

There will also be a program posted on the website www.securitycanadaexpo.com/sce 

Can I see the full schedule before I arrive onsite?
Yes, on the website, www.securitycanadaexpo.com/sce , there will be a full schedule of the event posted.

What is the dress code?
Attire for Security Canada East is business casual. Remember comfort is key, as you will be on your feet most of the day!

Will childcare be provided?
Childcare services will NOT be provided at Security Canada East. Please make other arrangements if you require childcare, as children under 18 are not permitted on the show floor.

Registration

What is included in my registration fee?
The fee includes entrance into the Exposition, the Buffet lunch and the Cocktail Reception. There is no fee if you register online before the cut off.

What is the deadline for registration?
You are able to register online until April 14, 2009. After this date, registration is only available on-site. On site, registration opens at 8:30 am on Wednesday April 22, 2009.

How can I register for Security East Expo?
On-line:
Internet registration is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please go to http://www.securitycanadaexpo.com/sce to register.

Fax:
You may fax the registration form to 905-513-0624. Payment via credit card must accompany the faxed registration.

Mail:

You may mail your registration form to our office along with payment (credit card number or cheque) to:

Please do not mail and fax your registration.

You may also register onsite for a fee. The registration booth will open at 8:30 am on Tuesday April 21, 2009.

How do I know if I'm registered?
Security Canada does not automatically pre-register attendees from previous shows. You must register yourself every year to attend Security Canada East. Once you register, we will issue a confirmation via email within 72 hours. If you do not receive a confirmation email please contact us at staff@canasa.org.

Do I have to register for individual sessions? Are sessions ticked?
No, the price (if applicable) includes all sessions and you can choose at the beginning of each time slot which session you will attend.

How will I receive my badge?
If you have pre-registered then your badge will be waiting for you at the Pre-Registration Counter at the entrance of Security Canada East. We urge you to pre-register to save both time and money.

If you are registering onsite, you will receive your badge when you register.

What if I need to cancel my registration?
No problem, please contact us at staff@canasa.org.

Housing & Travel

What hotel is the official Security Canada East hotel?
The Sheraton Laval is our official hotel for this event.

$130.00 Cdn. (plus taxes) per room per night

Remember to book early, but please do not book more than you require as the association is penalized for rooms blocked but not used. The deadline for reservations at the preferred rate is March 23, 2009. In order to receive the preferred rate you must indicate that you are with "Security Canada".

How far is the hotel from the convention centre?
The hotel and the exposition take place within the same building.

Can I get a discount on my airfare to Security Canada East?
Air Canada has been appointed the official airline. Call Air Canada at (800) 361-7585 or your travel agent to take advantage of a special convention rate. When booking your ticket please use promotion code N8P7THQ1.
