About Mr. Addesa
Since 2000, Enzo Addesa has held the position of Security/Risk Manager for the Peel District School Board. He is responsible for the protection of Board assets and safety of students and staff through intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV systems, lockdown procedures, crime prevention audits, and investigations. Enzo's risk management duties include purchasing insurance, managing liability and property claims, conducting risk management workshops with School Administrators to reduce Board liability and property exposure. The Peel District School Board has more than 230 schools, 150,000 students and 14,000 employees. Before joining the Peel District School Board, Enzo spent more than 10 years with a major Canadian department store and a national sporting goods retailer in Corporate Loss Prevention Management. Enzo has a B.A. in Criminology, a diploma in Law and Security Administration and an accreditation of Canadian Risk Management (CRM).

About Mr. Bell There are very few individuals who could deliver such a presentation, drawing from years of front line experience. Having spent 22 years with British Special Forces (SAS – Special Air Service), Alan has participated in counter terrorist operations worldwide and can offer a first-hand, unique and interesting perspective on the subject of terrorism.
As a professional resource, Alan is called to comment on terrorist and international security-related events by Canadian media (TV, radio, newspaper, magazines) and regularly appears on Canadian national networks.
Alan is the President of Globe Risk International Inc., (est. 1996), an internationally renowned security-consulting firm, providing consulting services, crisis management and specialized training to companies operating both domestically and internationally. Globe Risk was retained to develop the concept of security operations for one of Canada’s largest signature projects in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Donna Brown began her law enforcement career over 37 years ago with the Toronto Police Services. There she worked records, youth staff services, uniform patrol, morality squad, undercover and the homicide squad. After leaving the force she worked as a successful private investigator in Toronto.
In the early 80s she joined CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency) where she has gained an impressive enforcement background dealing with weapons, narcotics, pornography, and terrorism. About Mr. McCann Joe McCann is a licenced electrician by trade. He entered the security business over 20 years ago with another company he helped start. He did everything from design and sell / marketing to ordering materials, install, program and test systems and invoicing. This grew from a one-man operation to a staff of eight people and then he changed roles to a management position before going to Bulldog Fire and Security which he is a current partner in. He has his fire alarm certification licence, and CANASA level 1 Alarm Technicians licence and numerous product training certifications.

Frank J. Pietrobono is based in Toronto, and is a graduate of both Ryerson Electronics Program and the Executive Program at Schulich School of Business. Senior Training Associate David Hyde and Associates About Mr. Robertson Brian Robertson is the Principal of Diligent Security Training and Consulting, the affiliated training division of David Hyde and Associates, and the Senior Training Associate for DHA. Having variously held positions as the Recruiting and Training Manager for one of British Columbia’s largest contract security services provider, the Security Manager for one of Ontario’s largest gaming facilities, and the Program Manager for the private security training division of the Police Academy at the Justice Institute of BC, Brian draws on nearly two decades of experience in all facets of security personnel management and training.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B) from Dalhousie University as well as a Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) from Acadia University, and has served as a sessional instructor in legal studies with the Law and Security Administration (LASA) Program at Conestoga College. Cameron Serles President, Xiris Automation Inc.
About Mr. Serles Cameron Serles is Founder, President and CEO of Xiris Automation Inc., a manufacturer of “machines that can see” defects in manufactured goods for several niche global manufacturing industries such as optical disc (CDs, DVDs), Photo Voltaics and metal fabrication. He founded Xiris Automation in 1989 and was their first (and probably worst) software developer. Today, he is involved in strategic planning, sales development and corporate management at Xiris. He also advises several other small companies on technology and R&D issues and sits on the board of some not-for-profit organizations.
Prior to establishing Xiris, Cameron Serles worked in manufacturing automation for Northern Telecom and process automation in the oil industry for Schlumberger Ltd. He holds a Bachelor’s of Applied Scienc and Master’s of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto.

About Ms. Valentyne
Jennifer Valentyne started her career in 1987 at Citytv as a weekend intern while attending school and performing as a cheerleader for the Toronto Argonauts. After graduating from Centennial College's Radio & Television Broadcasting Program, she was hired full-time as a graphics operator for MuchMusic, and then as a creator of on-air promos for both MuchMusic and Citytv. She is often remembered as the Citytv "Prize Queen." Jennifer was 'discovered' when singing at a staff party and was hired as the "Singing Weathergirl" on BT-BreakfastTelevision.
Jennifer reports each morning from locations around and beyond the Greater Toronto Area with “LiveEye”, giving viewers a first hand account of events in and around our city. On any given day, Jennifer can be found doing anything from the flying trapeze at Circus School, milking a goat at the Winter Fair, building a house with Habitat for Humanity, repelling down a building in support of Easter Seals or jumping in Lake Ontario on for the Polar Bear Dip in support of World Vision.
Jennifer's eternal optimism and flair for humour is woven into talks that are peppered with engaging stories from her youth, current job and family life.
